cant fathom this out...
« on: January 07, 2009, 17:15:51 PM »
today it was a cold start to the day as we all know....
i was in a shop and a person got what was needed and asked if it was ok to wait in there until the cafe opened up opposite.... got told yeah.....
it was just setting up as it was about 8 .55 and not yet open...... i came back into the high street at 11 30 to see it crowded outside the cafe.. women, and children in buggies and alsorts sat outside hugging cups n smoking....i was amazed how many there was concidering how cold it was today.......................... its always the same old crowd day in  day out..taking up the pavements blocking entrance into the clothes shop sometimes  :-\
my quesion is this?? have they no homes to go to? why hang around ourtside cafes in weather when its enough to freeze ur wotsits off in minutes.. i know the answer as the people are recognisable to me and i know they have all got homes..so why sit there in the cold  every day freezing?? surely their  young kids would be better off playing in there own homes or friends homes than sat in a buggy freezing  ::) if you MUST go to town why stay longer than need be and sit out in the freezing cold if you dont have to. i cant think of anything worse than to be cold

i just dont understand the attraction winter nor summer come to that !!!!

in the summer its worse..the language!!!, the dogs!!!! , the bikes!!!! the kids !!!!! and pushchairs !!!!!its like a tip toeing through the tulips trying to get to a couple of the shops especially with someone hanging  onto your arm as they find it hard to get about in the first place  :( ..god knows how haines n smith and expressions puts up with it to be honest.. ive been inther twice in twent odd years or so....one was recently to speak to an old lady who knows my nan...

dont they know that hypertheria kills and kills quickly... sitting outside in this weather doesnt keep you warm..and it takes longer to warm up if you get that cold to start with..sitting inside your house will keep you warm.... if you can afford taxi's to the town..you can afford to heat your home and what with cold weather payments for those on benefits there is no excuse to say you cant afford to heat ur home
and no im not a snob...far from it.. but i just dont see the point in sitting in cafes all day every day...what is the attraction?

waiting for the lynching now  ;)

Its a shame the White Rabbit closed down we now only have 2 sit in tea rooms (Deans and the Book Shop) there are a lot of residents who want to meet up in town, have a cup of tea and a chat in comfort not have to be forced to sit outside.

I don't think they were sitting outside because there was no room inside.  ;)

nor i  ;)   its the same ones..day in day out   ::)
they must put of eldery shoppers on their own... hey can be quite intimidating to walk past....their language is very  ripe and very loud and every other word..
yes i swear , i am certainly not perfect but i do it in my own home
i was in sk fruits in the summer and an asistant said a child had been sat there all morning strapped in a buggy screaming when i commeted that someone didnt sound too happy

im quite sure they wouldnt be tollerated in deans or the book shop charlie
