below is a lake/ bird sanctuary in kendal  just off the motorway a little bit. very peaceful and loads of wild rabbits running free. daffodills were everywhere making it very peaceful. As im getting older i find myself wanting peace and quiet more and like more restfull place to visit and stay in.  Backing onto train or bus stations i can cope with but near a noisy night club would in fact be like hell on earth to me.

Nice pics. Reminds me of when I was a Scout in America, so I looked up my old troop and boy they have grown. There were 8 of us when we founded it and now they have over 50 boys and have helped 100 make eagle. Cool! Doesn't seem all that long ago, but it was 23 or so years, yikes! My mum still has my uniform too...

there is some nice pics there  westbury scouts...  looks like they all enjoyed themselves.... usa eh?  gone are the days of camping in the woods at brokerswood or on the hills then 
Al  ur mum still has your uniform    thats so sweet..really is....         i used to have all my kids teeth  ( as they fell out, i didnt pull them out honestly  )in a box. but ended up getting rid a few years ago when i moved cos it seemed a bit creepy thing to keep hold of..

  yes, it matched the colour of the sky on our visit! I thought the junk food notice very honest!!! The residents gave us a lovely warm welcome and gave us refreshments and entertainment. When it was time to leave they gave us an equally warm send off.

had a wonderful today today with my son's daughter and my daughter and other half. we went to the horse and groom for lunch  ( meatball bagettes are lush!!!  ) then off to warminster park where we had a good walk around the lake then went in to the park to play

Can't remember the last time I was in Warminster Park. I remember going on the Boating Lake though.
