thinking of a cruise and never tried one and wonder what its like

i found this today as ive never done a cruise and had all soughts of ideas and questions, what does anyone think of cruises and would you try one this typical cruise is around £550.00 per person full board with an option to pay £160.00 per person for an all inclusive deal which includes drinks

 we went to alaska and went on a cruise.....

i suppose you want somewhere hot and exotic? there are lots of different cruises you can do which take in lots of different places...hot and cold...
id love to do the norweigan ffjords one  sometime... ive seen the pictures that my mum and stepdad took when they went..

this was my ship   lol

I get "cost" on Orient-Express cruises, but that's still more than I could ever afford! I can't see the attraction of being stuck on a boat with a bunch of old foggies anyway ;)

oi !!!  im not an old foggie   ::)  but i enjoyed it....  AND there is cruises and SHIPS meant for the younger ones if your that way inclined with nightclubs facing out to sea and aimed more to the younger ones and families
you onnly join in with what you want to..nothing is compulsary.... if the fine dining is up your alley ( suits and dresses n jewellary) then its an experiance not to be missed... the fine dining wasnt my thin im afraid but i tried it..... its all to rich food and strong flavours for me, but others enjoy it emmensly being waited on hand and foot.... i preffered the other rooms where you just go help yourself and sit with who ever you want... me and my bro sat with some interesting people from all over the world... the day trips off ship onto dry land can be a bit tiring and i didnt always like them but did it  lol  hell they even got me onto a light plane ( i was panic striken /scared stupid but i did it )  ::)
its just an experiance...something i will probably never do again but something i would  have always wondered about and would have hated to miss  [app]

I've never been on a cruise, but I would imagine It's like being on a floating prison. >:(

But I suppose unless you try one you don't really know.

That's just reminded me of a joke. :)

 i never felt like that when i was on board i must admit... all clean tidy and smelling good and furnishings were top quality as was the food.. if you want burgers and fries every day you can have it.... if you want 4 course top quality meal you can have that to.. i found a liking for scrambled egg with smoked salmon  ::)  certainly not been able to afrod that since icame home  lol it was dilish...and i tried many foods i would never have tried here i must admit.....

no i dont work for princess cruises but i did have a bloody brilliant time...without them i wouldnt have been to the top of a mountain, stood on a glacier, seen whales and dolphins and  bears at close quarters, flew on a light plane and a real big plane  ::) or the train journey into the yukon territory, touched my first horse..been up the needle in seattle, omg the list is endless
the only thing i did refuse to do was go up in a ski lift to the top of the mountain....there was no way anyone was getting me up in THAT !!!  ive got wonderful memories and photos even if i never go on one again in my life  ;D

The second lady says “ Oh I can, my husband works for cunard”
The first lady says, quite indignantly, “ Well my husband works 'fukin ard' as well but we still can’t afford it”  ;D

Indeed, the price of eggs these days is getting silly.

Salmon must be cheap. Sainsburys now offer "Sainsburys Basics Smoked Salmon"... wtf is that about!

the one im off on is a cruise around the canaries and north africa and other islands, to be honest im really not sure if its my thing ! but i will keep an open mind and let you know when i get back.
jons been going on about one for 3 years so i gave in.the link i put on was helpful and took away the idea i had was a bunch of oaps and congtinuos tea dances lol

the one we were on had a disco and a casino ( i dont bet but was lovely to look around and watch others) library and computer room as well as all the other on board stuff....i think its the day trips when you go to a port which make the cruise...  they were good adn loads to choose from..but me n my bro also just liked walking around the town/port...i love people watching and am content to sit at a table with a drink and just let the world go by as well as looking round different places.....

my mum and step dad do cruises and have done the mediterainian ones as well as norwayffjors and austrailia n new zealand....and they love them....... im sure you will love it....

we had suites with balconies which was lovely.... get out of bed straight onto the balcony  ::)   ;D   such luxury

the ship in the link is the ship we are actually on , we have an outside cabin with a balcony , im pretty much the same as you quite happy wondering around people watching  in the ports of call and it will be warmer weather than here so thats a bonus  ;D ;D

check ur emails... i s ent you some pics of what the inside of our suite looked like........ expensive but bloody worth it.....   ;)   im not sure i would have liked a cabin with no windows that you could open.....
