right...here goes........

here is my personal account of the new dentist  ::)

im VERY nervous of the dentist and warned them of this when i went for my first session... HE was lovely, put me at ease..and i could understan every word he said. his english is impeccable :) really nice man..............   i had bad tooth as some of it had fallen away.....     he had a look at it and said i needed an xray next time and he would put a temp filling in until the next week,,,,,       ok  that was fine.... he did the filling and i went back the following week....   new person there not the nice man :( so that threw me to start with..she didnt have a clue what i was there for  ( she thought just for a check up)   so i told her about the temp filling and the xray......... so she removed the temp filling and xrayed my tooth....  then started to do work on it.... i asked her what she was doing and she replied with   "carrying on witht he root canal treatment that he started last week  :o ) well i nearly jumped off the chair in shock at that... no one said anything to me about root canal treatment..if they had i would have said not bother as the tooth was nackered and a good chunk had fallen off it anyway and another point how did he know i had the moeny to pay for root canal treatment??    ( thats a bit like going into someones house...paining one door and doing every bit of woodwork in the house and give them a bill for hundreds of pounds and hoping they can pay for it, even if thy didnt ask for it )    so i stopped the work going on in my mouth and told her i wanted it out...she filled it again with a temp filling for me to go bk today  ::)           :'(       i have just got back fromt here now....     i sat in the chair..she was actually reading the notes this time ( good idea you think )  then she started to work on my mouth..i asked her what she was doing and she said root canal treatment...i said no... " i dont want it...i would rather you took the tooth out.... you are not doing root canal treatment on anything in my mouth "   PRETTY PLAIN you would think :)  so she said u really want it out so i said again..yessssssssss please........ so she proceeded to take it out.... by now...im close to a panic attack..my breathing is rapid and i need my inhaler cos im gettting mighty stressed out ( i admit to being a whooss when it comes to the dentist. im scared s****less and dont mind admitting it )  anyway...im now the proud owner of a mouth minus the crown of the tooth but witht he roots firmly still in the gum as apparently they are attatched to the jaw ( i thought she was gonna break my jaw when she was pulling and fully expected her to be kneeling on my chest the way she was tugging on my jaw :'(  the roots can be clearly seen protruding in the hle in my gum :'( and im now having to wait for an appointment to come through from a hospital for an emergency op to removed the 4 roots on this molar of mine that so likes being in my mouth its took root in my jaw :'(
it could only happen to me... and its not friday the 13th either    :'(:'(

this is what they wanted to do without telling me first...... and still was going to carry on and do this afternoon with out asking even though i kicked off last week over it   ::)  no is no in any language isnt it???

video   i watched my son have this treatment a few years ago after a rugby accident and i watched him in tears and agony..... i cried to and so did my mum when she went in for one session too.....
no way are they doing that to me....   i wonder if this as her way of getting her own back on me for kicking off or denying them the work :(

My dear Debs.   This is so bad, you have my up most sympathy.  I'm scared of dentists too.   I thought it was a caring NHS but from your comment that is a load of old rubbish.   I wonder if the dental side of the PCT are just ticking boxes to suit their bosses without regard to proper care and understanding of their patients.   I find it hard to understand how in this day and age when we can transplant almost everything, why dental treatment is in the middle ages it should be painless and without fear I'm sure dentists are masochists.

thats what i said earlier about dentists too being masochists... tobe honest though she is such a tiny slip of a thing i almost expected her to climb up on my chair n kneel on my chest in order to pull out the tooth   :'(    my dentist used to be plumstead in hospital road... he wasn called the butcher for nothing :'(  he put me off dentists for life ima fraid and never went back for years :(  id much rather have a baby and i have big ones ( 9-10lb in weight and would gladly do it instead of having tooth out) .. i got to admit she didnt actually hurt me..i couldnt feel a thing after she numbed me....BUt its so barbaric...you can see and hear the tool kit in full swing.... if it was a dog t hey would be putout  so you could do it...but we have to sit there listenign to our teeth being ripped out of their sockets bit by bit as they break on under thepressure :(
painless and without fear would be soooo good.....  just wondering now how long an "EMERGENCY appointment" is going to take to arrive  ::) as the roots that are left inthe tooth are protruding proud of my gum :( ..all the feeling has now come back and im feeling battered and bruised like i have had a beating :(

LOL.

You both mean "sadists".

Thing about all dentists is that they are very reluctant to pull a tooth. For once the tooth has gone they can derive no more income from it!

Sounds like the dentist that 'tried' to pull Debs tooth was useless and actually broke it in the process, leaving half of it in the gum!

Whenever I have to have dental work done, I grab hold of his testicles and say "we're not going to hurt each other are we"  ;D

i got it the wrong waY around then..i thought a maschist liked inflicting pain on others.....  ::)

the trouble she was having pulling it out and the different positions she put my chair in i wouldnt have been surprised to see her tie me to the chair  and my tooth to something fast and furious :(... had a quite peacefull night...my mouth just throbbed a bit...cant see the gum covering over the tooth though as i kust had a look and can see the roots quite easily....   now!!!  who wants children they want to frighten??? it would work a treat :'(

i dont know about her being cute..ur asking the wrong person  but if you mean is cute, petitie pretty and asian then i guess she is
its ridiculous really. i had to keep saying sorry?  what?? because i had trouble understanding her.... one due to being scared to death and the other due tot he fact she was wearing a material face mask AND one of those clear plastic headgear like diana wore when she went into the mine fields   ::)
