A lethal dose of a concentrated form of Polish alcohol caused the death of a man who was the equivalent of being almost six-times over the drink-drive limit, an inquest heard.

Krzysztof Szpak, 43, died after a friend swapped his vodka drink with one of Spiritus, which is 95 per cent alcohol, during a friend’s birthday party.

He was found dead the next day on March 11, 2007, in a caravan he had been living in on Storridge Farm, Westbury.
