Jesus phone = Apple iPhone.

I have been with Orange for years, never an issue (other than the odd cell failure). The coverage in mid-Wales and the Peak District is excellent for me and their international roaming was great when I travelled for work a lot. Their standard data plans suck, but if you nag them they do better ones.
Ride fast, take chances. Just don't blame me when you fall off.

Sounds a bit elaborate for me. Maybe it is just the house. Although last holiday wasn't that great for my mob but then we were in some very poor countries.
Is it time for your Medication or mine?

what is the general opinion on the best mob network for the Westbury area? I have had Virgin which wasn't that good, so, I changed to Orange and I still have some trouble. Wonder if it could be that I live in an old property with thick walls!!

Best two networks for call coverage are Orange and Vodafone by far.

Vodafone still uses the old 900 Mhz bandwidth it started its 2G service on in the early 90s. Orange and other newer networks work at 2 GigaHz +. The old lower frequency signals travel further and better between far apart masts in rural area making Vodafone a better bet across the UK overall. But in this neck of the woods, Orange has built a solid network that works better than Vodafone despite everything being at 2 GigaHz +.

O2 tends to have base stations in the centre of towns that cover town centres well but which can leave gaps between towns in rural areas.

T-mobile (and Virgin) is the weakest, though it has been catching up well. It still has only a 2G service.

"3" is a 3G system with very patchy coverage outside the centre of major towns. It piggybacks on O2's 2G network for voice calls, so any 3 user should get the same service as O2 users for simple voice calls (depending on whether O2 prioritises its own customers at peak times).
