Just rang the trowbridge branch. Was all very shady. Bring back the packaging and we will refund you and then she said and you might be able to get something else. i said something else? She said yes because it spoiled your meal, you might even get a five pound voucher!!!! I said so this is the correct route to go down then, which she said basically yes , Thoughts?

The blue plastic looks more appetising than the rest of it to me. ;D

Seriously though, I would accept their offer. Mistakes get made, that's life.
You could persue it further with trading standards if you could be bothered and you might get more compo eventually. But you have to ask yourself 'is it worth it'.

On the brightside, its not a severed finger! ;D Seriously though, take it back so that they can look into where it came from and hopefully stop it happening again to someone else. Its likely just a human error, a cock up, but if it can be prevented in future, then so much the better.

I would take it back let them look into it, its probably ended up in there when they urap the contents  ingrediants when they go in the machines in the factory where they produce the meals and it does look like catering wrapping free refund and maybe a voucher id leave it after taking it back to them

Took it back this morning. Got it refunded back on my card,no voucher but its going to head office. She said give it two weeks. Call me cynical but i won't hold my braeth. I agree, it reminds me of the blue plastic thats wrapped in frozen ready rolled pastry,i assume they do the same with sheets of pasta? Ho hum!

You made a complaint so they have 28 days to reply by Law, if you haven't had a reply i would chase it up.. I would also e-mail head office with the photo, because the manager might just think they refunded you end off.

Interestingly enough they don't have an email address for their head office its letter or phone only. Do you think i should ring head office or just leave it for them to sort out?

Gave head office a ring and they said the correct procedure had been followed and after investigation compensation would be made direct from the manufacturer. Interesting to see what happens! Still would've liked to have sent them the pic tho.

I would send a letter with a picture along with any till reciept you still have and who you spoke to in the store to the Managing director of tescos in cheshunt , whatch then see what happens put  down youre reaction to finding the item in the meal etc etc and you will get a decent amount in vouchers back and you know a md isnt wanting too many letters like that land on his desk so it will filter down with swift effect.
I used o know someone years ago would send letters just before xmas to as many high st shops then would do all her xmas shopping for free with the amount of vouchers she recieved , the funny thing was she sent the similar letter about a made up complaint to shops she hadnt even been in , naughty .

Why do people think they can make money from everything these days? Its a simple processing error at the factory. Report it so they can fix it sure, but no-one was hurt, no one suffered mental anguish, the world is still revolving :) I absolutely abhor the increase in the blame and sue culture that is infesting society today. sugar happens, deal.
