This is like an Agatha Christie mystery. We should call in Hercule Poirot to reveal who everyone is.

It's not me and I don't know who The_Spanner is.

From looking at the quality and style of the writing, I can deduce who it is probably not. It's probably not any of the names suggested so far.

I can think of lots of people who it might be. A lot of people would be intrigued and then concerned that a bunch of people are campaigning about one issue that has virtually nothing to do with Westbury or Wiltshire (apart from the fact that I dropped my big toe in during some personal "off-duty" comments) and are trying to drum me out of my role as their elected councillor.

At election time in 2007 and 2009, I did not have any time for "canvassing" - ie. door-knocking to drum up support. This is because it was all I could do to get one leaflet written, printed and delivered a week across the ward throughout the campaign period.

Even so, I got lots of people who flew out their front door upon seeing my leaflets to give me support and shake my hand.

I shall never forget one old lady who said in 2007:  "I love reading about all the trouble people are trying to say you are in and you always come back again and again on top. It's amazing."

Lots of local people know what is going on and they know that, actually, I've not done anything wrong and that I'll set the record straight - whether my accusers like it or not.

There will be all sorts of people who will want to say their piece about people coming to Westbury to basically interefere in things here and to concoct some story about about why one of their most active councillors suddenly needs the boot, when all he's done is drop a clanger by mistake, who apologised immediately and then pointed out the real truth about something that scousers keep droning on about and are now abusing local people, their local groups, bodies and forums about.

You didn't point out the truth, you re peddled your lie, HOOLIGANISM did not cause the Hillsborough disaster. Can't help yourself can you?

You won't be coming out of anywhere on top.

If you ignore my initial Twitter comments (which were withdrawn and apologised for immediately same day), what I've actually said is that hooliganism was "one of the root causes" and that "some fans were at least partly responsible".

It's no wonder that you don't understand what the Taylor reports mean when you mix up the meaning of plain English all the time.

We'll see about the rest. I'm not resigning and any claim that I've done anything wrong as a councillor is simply pie in the sky nonsense.

Heck - even the council lawyers are telling me that they've tried to find something that might be wrong but the advice they've been given by "experts" is that I've done nothing wrong.

So ...... just stop being a nuisance and trouble-maker -- eh!

I have no trouble whatsoever with my command of the English language Russell, I have no trouble reading either. I haven't mixed up the Taylor report at all, neither have I picked out snippets and posted them to try and justify myself, like you did.

Hillsborough was not caused by HOOLIGANISM

Yes we will see about the rest. As for being a nuisance, thanks for the compliment.

Ok let's 'ignore' your twitter comments for a minute and let's talk about the comments you've made on here. Up to now, you have labelled us as:

"Nutters"
"Propaganda"
"speaking verbal diarrhoea"
"mentally unbalanced"
Etc

I note you haven't withdrawn or apologised for any of those comments? Your twitter comments were bad, the comments above are disgusting. Let's put them into context(I know you like things to be in context) - the people you refer to above have grieved for 21 years, they have never given up hope that one day those responsible for the deaths of our loved ones will face justice, and they have done this with a level of dignity your puny little mind will ever comprehend. If you weren't such a coward and had taken up the offer to meet some of these people you'd maybe start to understand where I'm coming from.

If you honestly believe I'm just going to go away then you are sadly mistaken. You have insulted some of the most incredible people I've ever met, and I PROMISE you Hawker, you will pay for it.

Seems a fairly accurate assessment from what I've read.

It works both ways, Mr Hawker has been called some terrible names on here too.Perhaps the people who called him these names woudl like to be the bigger people and apologise first, then perhaps we coudl move towards resovling this childish little game?
