Quote
The chubby grey-haired woman, aged around 50, is filmed stroking tabby Lola on a wall outside a house.

But she then suddenly grabs the four-year-old cat by the scruff of the neck before throwing it into a wheelie bin and slamming the lid closed.

Shocking ... do you know who this woman is?
She then calmly walks away.

Terrified Lola was trapped in the bin for 15 HOURS before her owners Stephanie Andrews-Mann and husband Darryl finally found her the following morning.

Footage of the attack was captured by a CCTV camera on Saturday night, which the couple use to monitor the front of their home.

They have now posted the video on YouTube and Facebook in a bid to track down the culprit.

Stephanie, 24, a customer services worker with Ford, said: "I find the entire thing sickening.

"I cannot believe someone would do this to an innocent family pet.

"Lola was a rescue cat and was wary of people when we first got her.

"She has a lovely disposition and really wouldn't hurt a fly. This is what makes the attack on her so shocking.

"I really want to find the woman who did this to her, she must be stopped."

Stephanie lives with Darryl, 26, a mobile phone repairman and her eight-year-old daughter Chloe who is from a previous relationship.

Distraught ... Darryl, Stephanie and Chloe couldn't believe what happened to their cat
SWNS The couple installed CCTV outside their home two years ago after their car was repeatedly knocked by careless drivers.

Darryl and Stephanie have put the 1.27 minute clip on YouTube in a bid to track down the woman, which has shocked internet users.

Web user Robert Fletcher commented: "The cat was okay, found shortly afterwards, but there's a mass hunt to find out who the old lady is.

"If you know the woman, get in touch with like the police.

"Actually not the police, probably the RSPCA. Yeah them.

"There's obviously a massive outcry and hunt on to find the lady who did it."

Lynsey Skinner wrote: "Oh my god, Steph, this is insane. Someone must know who she is?

"Have you spoken to your neighbours about it? Crazy and cruel.

"I hope you do report her and she is caught."

The RSPCA and West Midlands Police are now investigating the incident.

A police spokeswoman said: "The cat was left in the bin for 15 hours but emerged unhurt.

"The RSPCA were informed and the investigation into the incident will be led by them, as it is a matter of animal cruelty.

"The police will support the RSPCA's investigation and are currently collecting CCTV of the incident."

the video clip that is on youtube and facebook is on the link. what an outragous thing to do to an animal.

If it was my cat, she'd be getting a kick up the arse when I found out who she was.

The bank where cat dumper Mary Bale works was last night facing mounting pressure to sack her.

Outraged customers said they would desert the Royal Bank of Scotland if bosses allow the 45-year-old Bale to keep her job.

Housewife Kim Davis, 53, said: "I'd never be served by this despicable woman again.

"Hopefully bosses will do the decent thing for cat lovers everywhere and usher her out of the back door."

Barry Morgan, 58, added: "There's no way I'd ever be served by her again. She's brought shame on herself and the rest of the country." Spinster Bale sparked outrage after she was caught on CCTV putting four-year-old tabby Lola in a wheelie bin near her home in Coventry.

The customer services adviser yesterday said she feared she was heading for the chop before a showdown with bosses at her branch in Rugby, Warwicks.

She said: "I've already been worried about losing my job because of the recession, but now it's a near certainty. The public see me every day when I serve them. How can I hide away from that?

"There's nothing I can do. How will they react when they see me? This is going to be dreadful. My whole life will be turned upside-down."

some of the somments are quite over the top. ok  she did something which is not nice to do. i love cats and dogs and would never hurt one.... but demanding she lose her job in a bank over this just sounds quite absurd to me. surely this has nothing to do with how she carries out her job in a bank!!!!

It certainly isn't a sacking offence! It's nothing to do with RBS and if they are worried about her serving the public because of the abuse she might face, she could be moved into the back of the bank away from the counters. Having worked in a bank, a simple solution if probably out of their grasp!

;D I'm not a lover of cats either for the same reason and they also lay in wait to catch the birds! Even Ducks get chased off as well. Wouldn't put one in a bin though-as much as I would like to!!!!!!!!!!!! ::)
