Get Your Skates on at Brokerswood This Christmas

A popular west country tourist destination will be providing some extra festive cheer this Christmas, with a big attraction scheduled for December.

From 16th December until 2nd January, Brokerswood Country Park near Westbury will be transformed into a winter wonderland complete with a 10m by 14m ice rink.

The ice rink will be a first for the award-winning country park, and people of all ages are expected to visit for some traditional winter outdoor ice skating, and the magical Christmas atmosphere that only Brokerswood can provide.

For many years Brokerswood has been a family favourite over the Christmas period, with the popular Santa train and grotto booking up many months in advance.

Park owner Sue Capon says she is looking forward to creating something really special in the Park for the Christmas season.

“The ice rink will be a big addition to our Christmas celebrations this year. We’ve had a lot of interest from the people we have told about it, and some people are choosing to book spaces already to make sure they don’t miss out.”

“The Park will be a fantastic venue for it and I’m sure there will be a great atmosphere. Skaters will also be able to relax with a hot drink afterwards in our cosy café, children can visit Father Christmas in his grotto on the Santa Train, and our gift shop will also be open.”

The ice rink will be open every day from 10.30am until 8.30pm and costs £8 for adults, £5 for children (3-16 years) and £21 for a family ticket (2 adults and £2 children).

For more information, contact Brokerswood Country Park on 01373 822238 or email info@brokerswood.co.uk
Brokerswood is now West Wiltshire's second most popular tourist attraction - second only to Longleat. Situated in 80 acres of ancient natural British woodland, Brokerswood offers visitors a chance to relax and enjoy the glorious setting.

I intend to go, but not until much nearer to Christmas. £8 seems a bit steep.  Maybe it's my age.

A bit difficult skating with your drawers round your ankles isn't it ST? ;D
Please would you walk a little faster, or get the f*** out of my way.

Just a friendly reminder about our Christmas Market and Ice Rink this year, and a wintery picture to go with it  :)
