things have gone too far beyond repair anyway, the early 1990's started the rot and britain is suffering for it now.. beyond repair i'm sorry to say.

some people can be helped, some people don't get the help, society does not want to help, the authorities try to help as minimalistic as possible.

kids were running amock in the 70s but that doesnt mean they were thieving cars lol.

Aren't these offenders supervised then? If not then they need to be. If they are, then the supervisors should be sacked and more reliable people put in their place! Appears to be just a 'token' punishment which they can abuse.

i saw a clip of that too rose...  lounging around doing nothing and one was even rolling a spiff up in the community service mini bus with no one batting an eyelid....  too many things get ignored by others because they dont want to get involved in something which doesnt affect them. in my opinion if more people did stand up and voice their concerns/opinions on a lot of things the country on a whole would be a better one.

Hear Hear, the problem is at the top of the food chain though. The supervisors should be doing just that, and judges shouldn't had out community service willy nilly it really should be just for trivial offences. And the minute you don't tow the line it should be prison.

everyone deserves a chance in life...im the first to agree with that.....   but there are the ones who time and time again are up before the courts... for stealing, burgulary, breaking and entering etc... and what to they get? not even a telling off....no obviously punishment.........  :o .  the person they have robbed dont get their belongings back...yeah ok i know there is insurance on things but why should it cost the homeowner in excess and it going up the next year cos they have had a claim.   first time offences or  really light wrong doings should be dealt with in community service but proper "SERVICE" to the community. fully supervised properly....  then maybe the people would see that something is being done to try n correct these "youths with a bad family life"    do you know how mad this expression makes me feel???

that was the excuse for a certain no gooder in our lovely town. every time he did something wrong at school to my kids the excuse was " he hasnt got a good home life"    AND???  why should they get away with it??  he flushed kids heads down the toilet...  spat in the faces of other kids...taunted and bullied his way through all the schools here... now as an adult he is into drugs...drinks heavily, robs , burgles to fund his habit ( or rather he did)  he was one of the toe rags who burgled my nan a few years ago....  and a few others on leigh park and other places too...all to fund his and his mates drug habits...  nothing was done...no prison sentence.... no curfew...no fine...no apologies... in fact he got SFA for making an old ladys life very miserable, making her feel unsafe in her own home and stealing all her jewellary, some of which was over 100 yrs old....     "how is this justice?"  how is it right or even moral???   to get the backing of the people the judges have to be seen as doing right by the public who are "the victims" in all things like this. to many bloody do gooders around to make the criminal the "victim by circumstance" and thats wrong in my eyes.   there is an old saying...  IF YOU CANT DO THE TIME..THEN DONT DO THE CRIME   [app]    you do wrong thenEXPECT a proper punishment...oops  sorry im wrong..this is england....  the judges here are all soft as crap.....    they get away with it and allowed to brag about it  ::)                  >:(

if they not got jobs or college whent hey leave school i see no harm in national service... not to go to war obviously.... but to instill a bit of discipline, pride and manners that a lot certainly havent got....   someone else in charge of them who they cant wrap around their little fingers would probably be the making of a lot of people.....
