im due to start work with this firm shortly. ive been having some training and have done some shadowing sessions when i go into people homes with another carer in order to see how they work and get me familiarized witht heir ways and of course some of the clients. i know im going to love it when i start properly.  i have found that i am missing my nan terribly since she moved away in february...apart from obviously needing to work.   this way i get to see other  people who need a helping when when they find they cant do everything them selves and hopefully i will make a bit of difference to someone else's life and make it a bit more bearable with the help and a friendly cheerfull chat.
 :-*

so dont forget...IF you know of someone ( or indeed if you need someone) who needs a bit of help with cleaning, shopping, personal care,  breakfast dinner and tea and getting in and out of bed think of this firm. ive already found them cheerfull, proffesional  and nice to be with.  so remember this number... its a local business so very handy

just thought i would do an update on here

1/  bit of free advertising
2/  bump up the topic so it doesnt get lost
3/ bring it to the fore just in case anyone is thinking or needing help of any kind for a neighbour, friend or relative

im now finished my palliative care course...just waiting to hear if ive passed the last 2 units ( no reason why i shouldnt have)  im also part way through an nvq in health and social care.   ive now b een with castle care since september..  im still loving my job. its varied, i do different jobs for different people depending on their own personal wants and needs.

have passed my nvq level 2 in health and social care course... 6 months before the deadline ( chuffed or what)  so that 2 courses i have now passed and i am feeling very pleased with myself for doing both.

im still loving my job and therefore feel no embarrassment in saying this.....

if you or your loved one or a neighbour is struggling and needs a bit of help getting washed/ dressed/ s hopping/ cleaning/ companionship/ live in care or just domicillary care please feel free to call the office  and speak to any of the staff there. they can come out and assess your needs and show you what we can offer in the way of help.

the phone number and emal address and website can all be found on the front page of this thread.

look forward to seeing you

the care agency i work for  Castle Care Wessex are currently doing leaflet drops in local towns and villages...

IF you havent had one in the past month or so would it be possbile to private mail me just the name of your road or estate so i can pass it on to the boss so it can be done....  myself or a work collegue could be in your area soon dropping of leaflets. if they are no good for you at this moment in t ime feel free to pass hem on to a relative or friend who you think would benefit from our care

as it was the 5th anniversary of the company the past week we had a small gathering of domicillary carers for  a get together at the office for a buffet and the launch of the new uniform.     ive edited the picture as im not sure all want their faces on the forum so you will just have to put up with my mugshot im afraid...

we certainly stand out and look the part. ive already had some good feedback ont he new uniforms after being stopped in the high street the other day by 5 different people who i know all saying how smart i looked..so thats good news.
