serious accident at dilton marsh

A3098 both ways closed due to serious accident between The Hollow (Dilton Marsh) and Huntenhull Lane (Chapmanslade). Involving a single vehicle. Sensors show that traffic is light in the area. police say that the road may be closed for some time.

We just came that was from Frome, and had to turn back and onto the A36.
Hope everyone involved will be ok

i must say i hate that road... it is a really bad one... not surprised no one been killed yet the way they drive up and down there

The trouble is people drive the road, knowing it, so drive it fast, but they don't expect a cyclist round the corner... Hope the cyclist is not to badly hurt.

i take it there is another way to champanslade is there??  i have to meet someone at the pub there tonight and would have gone that way....

I'd have thought it'd be open again by then, of not just take the A350 to Warminster services and go north up the A36 and turn off into Chapmanslade at the top of Black Dog Hill.

thanks for that AL cheers  [beer]   i only know one way of getting to places ( i know typical woman i hear) so get confused when there is accidents and diversions

Probably not the bset time, but here goes.

I had someone coming to pick something up through Freecycle.  Believing it to be a bloke, I sent a text saying best to reverse into the drive. Woman turned up, parked in the road, said, "Sorry I didn't use the drive, I'm a woman so I don't do reversing."
Please would you walk a little faster, or get the f*** out of my way.
