Suicides

Did anyone here know the chap from Westbury? It's always sad when people take their own lives for whatever reason. I've known a couple of people who have done it - both men in their 40s...

oh dear...how very sad that both people thought they had no where to turn and no one to talk to about any problems.  surely nothing can be that bad you want to take your own life :(    ive been rock bottom ..really rock bottom a couple of times in my life but never ever thought of ending it all...
people say its a cowards way out but to be honest i dont think so....  i am personally scared of dying and think you have to be very  brave or badly depressed to want to go through  with it :(

its the ones that get left behind to cope witht he hurt and guilt i feel sorry with....  hope both the families will be ok

It is very sad that two people have found life so intolerable, that they have decided to end things.

Could it be that they had recognised that in this "modern civilised" society that individuals no longer are important?

How awful for the family and friends left behind, wondering what they could have done to help.                                                                                                            I imagine in the end that there are no problems greater than your own.

What a sad, terrible state of mind people must be in. Of course there are those that cry wolf and threaten, just for attention or blackmail and it back fires on them!!

There have certainly been more than enough in the area already.

Is it time for your Medication or mine?

From what the Wiltshire Times have reported there is no evidence of any link. Sad that the story of one death is added to another almost as a "by the way".

I do wonder if the economic nightmare will trigger an increase in suicides over the coming years - I think people will find it increasingly hard to cope if things carry on at this rate, and it may drive some people to the edge

I am sure I have recently, that the suicide rate is already up since the economic crisis - mainly with older people!
