Burglary's Leigh Park Area...
« on: June 12, 2011, 10:43:54 AM »
Several people had there homes broken into in the early hours of Saturday morning, including my daughter.

She had her bag stolen which contained her purse, she later had both purse and bag returned later on Saturday minus some money.

We think they may have been disturbed because rose was staying at daughters and was sleeping on the sofa, thankfully she is ok.

They came in the back door which was unlocked.

The toe-rags have been caught and arrested.

we should all make sure we lock windows and doors at night just to be on the safe side.

Or buy yourselves a baseball bat ;)

Plod were very helpful and quick to respond fair play to them for that  [app]

makes you wonder if they are the same toe-rags who broke into my friends house also on leigh park about 6 weeks ago which i posted on here also....  hope they throw the book at them for this...
hope  ur daughter is gonna  make sure the doors are locked in future before she goes to bed  :)  luckily rose was there...  the shock could have    made her go into labour finding someone lurking around in her home  :(
they had better get more than a slap nt he wrists too... my friend has moved since it happened to her as she couldnt sleep at night  since...

Well the police was at their house whilst taking a statement and they was arrested before they left and he was only there 30 mins so from the time i phoned the police and the arrest was lest than 1.30mins .. so i would think that they was out on bail as the police new where to go straight way.

trouble is with this housing estate (and a lot of others) where they all have the same doors or a choice of 3 or 4 it only takes a couple of these scu m to work out how their own door works and how they can get in and out of it quietly and quickly and bingo they got it made...  just nip in and out as they like when they like....   when my friends house got done a few weeks bk again in leigh park they were in and out in minutes took her handbag... they actually woke her up at around 5ish in the morning as her front door squeaked... she darent do anything as her very young son was asleep int he next room and she didnt want to alert them that there was anyone in the house...  ive told her about your daughters break in pat/rose and she is waiting with baited breath to see if she gets a call saying they have found her handbag and contents ( wont be holding it though)

i must admit to being able to get into any of the homes with the original doors in bitham park when i lived there....  if any of my friends or neighbours got locked out or the kids shut the door behind the parents whent hey went to the bin  ::) i could get them back into their homes in a couple of mins.  i would never think of doing it for illegal reasons though... some people are just bloody scum and get away with crap like this time and time again...

Debs - from what I have read here, and hear from folk about, its not that someone has worked out how to break in, its that people leave their doors unlocked.

As for Bitham Park doors, yes, its an old trick that every thief knows. It works on a lot of doors, but not the type on houses I've looked at in Leigh Park. Weird, huh.
