New Launderette
« on: November 25, 2011, 12:04:53 PM »
I noticed that the old launderette in Edward Street is being re-opened as Silks Launderette. It also looks like work is going on in the old hairdressers next door.

ohh i wondered when something was going tobe done there...  i know the old couple who ran both the launderette and the hairdressers went into care home through ill health....

wouldnt have said there was a need for another haridressers as i think westbury has that quite covered now for women and men.....   and as for a launderette i used to watch eastenders and think "doesnt everyone have a washing machine or wash by hand at home any more??"    but saying that i did occasionally see people in there... i only used it for doing the quilts when they needed doing as the machines are bigger than ur usualy household machine.

saying that....good luck to the new owner.... something being used is better than another nasty empty shop front.   [app]

when is the white lion going to be sorted out? anyone heard?  ive heard a couple of different things about it...wine bar/ food bistro and also taken over by a building firm in westbury and going to be turned into flats   ???  ???    know any different??  let us know

3 Cooks - Overpriced, no fresh bread, and what was on sale was not particularly good. Good riddance, however I feel for the staff.
