Co-op
« on: August 23, 2008, 22:37:46 PM »
I know..badger moaning again!
The Co-op..nice shop. but lately, cluttered ::)
Seems when shopping, you have to be aware of left  empty carboard boxes, Footsteps, ect. around the isles.
One lady the other day, nearly went flying, after she caught her foot in a unused slippery floor sign which was left propped at a cash till. Surely staff should more vigalent and health and safety aware. A bit lacking i think.

that doesnt apply to just co op badger...coopers is just as bad.... trolleys in the way everywhere... boxes on top of freezers usually where you want to get..... adn i really feel sorry for the oldies who cant reach the sstuf on the upper shelves... really struggle they do... th amount of things i get down for little old men and ladies when they struggle to reach it down. and the shopping trollies at coopers...imagine trying to get  a coin or token in one of those and trying to get it out of the slot... im always helping people with tha...usually older people i must admit..... but sometimes its just people who are having problems with arthritis and  jsut havent go tthe power inthe hands or wrists to pull or push the trollies and thier coins/tokens... its just as well my nan in her 90's cant go shopping on her own beecause she could get into a flap if she couldnt get a trolley to start with then not reach the food she wanted.........    and then when you do try to get what you want of the shelves you cant get near it because there ar dam great oiles of products piled in the way and usually right infront of what ou want

I agree Angel [app]...
Why do supermarkets tend to think everyone is at least sixfoot five tall??
And when you see these big trollies full of products blocking the shelves, there seems no one tending it ;D
It tends to be like the strings of cones down a motorway, and nobody actually working there. ;)

As someone that is nearly six foot five tall I would like to suggest that when it comes to trouser, supermarkets don't think everyone is that tall... 34inch inside leg longest any supermarket sells.. shorts! ;) Sainsbury's max is 33. Mind you, M&S in-store max is now 33, 35 only on-line... sizist sods.

As for stuff in isle, Tesco often leave things at the ends of isle, just to annoy me I'm sure. I have often pushed them out of my way, much to the distain of store staff :)
Ride fast, take chances. Just don't blame me when you fall off.

dont start me off about clothes and sizing and availability  ::)  8, 10, 12 , 14, 16, 18 you can get eaasily in most shops but god forbid if youre bigger than that. men as well as women . if youre lucky enough to be able to find something in your size its invairably just a tent in different colours... when are designers going to realise that larger people love clothes too and provide us with choice too...  i have  been looking for a nioce coat fo the evening out when it  gets cooler..the only ones i have found so far are virtually the same as janet battersby in corrie or lisa dingle in emmerdale. ( duffle coats or fleeces ) .... NICE choice would be lovely..  and colour dont get me started on colour...we like more than black too

grrrrrrrrrrr

You think that's bad, try being a woman with an inside leg of 37 inches! Normal length are pedal pushers on me. :)

i see there have been a few complaints about co op prices on the other forum.... got to admit the prices are creeping up too....
i went in there yesterday and all i bought was smiley potatoe shapes...£1 and turkey dippers £1 for grand daughter tea and the rest was just  small lamb ( £5) potatoes, courgettes, carrots onions and leeks , pack of 3 peppers and it came to over 15 quid    :o     ::)  amounted to a bag and a half.......  i wont be doing that again i can tell you.... im back to asda in future and will make sure i wont run out of bread by having enough in the freezer as the warburtonis bread i bought in co op was very hard  round  every edge and not nice for grand daughter to try to chew through :(
by sneaking up their prices and giving smaller amounts ( fruit n  veg) they wont be doing themselves or the company any favours im afraid....

and i saw on the card reader that you could say if the queuing was fair or not..... i didnt do it but no the queuing isnt good enough.... they were about 5 people waiting on every till yesterday lunch time when i was there and the fag counter till was a very long one...
also on my nans  bill last week which i didnt notice until she pointed it out a few days later they have over charged her by scanning her eggs twice ( extorsionate prices to start with at £1.35 for 6)   too late to go back and complain..no proof she didnt have the 2 packs of eggs :(   cant seem to pack and watch the prices and what they are scanning all at once on my own :(......
roll on thursday..........asda here we come :)
