Debs:
well its now january 9th 2012....i have been off work since september 12th after a short spell in hospital where i was diagnosed with gall stones in my bladder and stones in my bile duct which both need removing in 2 different procedures.. .... both as a matter or urgency as the letters which i have seen all said..... well its now 9th jan and ive just got off the fone to salisbury hospital after calling them to ask whats happening...APPARENTLY my concultant is hardly at salisbury hospital at all...so its looking like it could be feb time maybe march...so she is now going to find another consultant who can do it there.... ive had the first procedure on dec 12,( which was cancelled from another date at 20 mins notice before rosebud was due to collect me to take me there) which was a camera and grabber down the throat to remove the stones that were in my bile duct....... SURPRISE SURPISE there wasnt any there at all.... so i went through all that for nothing :( ....... this is really doing my head in now...apart from being off work all that time and on sick pay im fed up, also worried about money all the time..... its taken the council up to saturday just gone to send out a letter saying "yes they will help me out with a bit of rent and poll tax relief" 4 months after i first was put on the sick grrrr sick pay should be renamed sugar pay :( people on the dole get more help than i have :( ah well.......... im going to have to go back to work or im not going to have any work to go back to :( the other collegues will find it hard to give up my shifts after all this time as it is. so im having a chat with my doctor today about going back to work but with provisions that i dont do any manual handling or heaving moving of things... just pottering around is fine ..............
bloody hospitals...this is really taking the p*$$ now and i thought salisbury hospital was supposed to be better than ruh in bath ........ looks to me like neither could organise a p*)) up in a brewery ..certainly do 2 procedures within a short space of time of each other which was promised at the start :( IN SEPTEMBER
urgent my arse!!!!!!!

My dear Debs. I really feel for you, its not fair. But as they all tell us, this is the new face of the caring NHS, care in the home and the local PCT saving money. But to the person on the ground who is suffering, I would say, its wrong (I could have used stronger language, believe me). You have worked hard, paid your dues and are treated in this way, its not progress in my mind, far from it. Shame you are English. I know people are going to say I'm racist but when in Rome do as the Romans do..

inclined to agree with you charlie [app] i saw something on the tv to do with euthanasia and they said its wrong we should be providing adequate care not killing them off... well thats going to cost more money and we all know that the government wont pay out more money so that statement wasnt worth the paper he was reading it from. through me working int he care industry i know that people wont pay for it privately either. its strange to think but people pay more for someone to do the gardening or cleaning in their home rather than someone to look after them or their loved ones.. we get just over the national minimum wage, you get more stacking shelves in morrisons to be honest
