Well then, I see King David Cameron and his local disciples have managed a good job in decimating our local form of Government.
Lets start off with the WC. The Tory disciples will do King Davids bidding by trying to offload our services to the Towns, thus saving money. The cabinet will gather round their king like vines around a tree and suck it dry.
I see from the reliable press that the Director of Education and Children's Services is yet another victim of collateral damage. Along with a long list of bloody good people from Education at County Hall. So what are we to do, when we need vital advice from Educational Professionals, I know, lets buy into their services as they set them selves up in the same offices doing the same job as consultants. Oh yes, lets make all Schools (even failing ones) Academy's, fund them from Whitehall and cut out the Local Authority.
The writing is on the wall, the Local Authority is doomed because its King Davids wish and all its (Councillors who run the Council), will be on the scrap heap along with many, many others.
Never mind though the local Councils (made up of volunteers) will have to deal with it and raise the precept to pay for it.
King David and his disciples will then rise up on a cloud and play harps for the rest of their lives. Thank God I'm a bloody Drummer. No chance of a cloud just a downward lift with my mates. Least it will be warm.
