Anyone put the central heating on yet?

if i had my way in the pat house it wouldn't go on till November onwards.

i live with two females who think 20 degrees is cold ::)

 mine wont go on yet.... will have to shut all windows first...and then pput on extra clothing....... i try not to put it on to early or otherwise you not feel the benefit of it when it does get cold..
this house does seem to be able to keep the heat in quite well..... as you did ask if i had the heating on when you came in   ::)  AS IF  its bloody september  NOOOO !!!

when we put the heating on i will have to walk around in me birthday suit  ;D cuz its sooooooooooooo bloody hot i cant stand it ???

i usually go around in t shirts  in the winter   just put on a cardi when it gets cold.... i cant stand it to hot eiher...and i always sleep with my bedroom  windows open....always have done..in fact the radiator is turned of in the bedroom completly.........
the trouble i have with my back ( its always boiling to touch) and "the change" i seem to have my own central heating system  ::)

I have mine on all year round. I just turn the stat down to minimum. it only comes on if the temperature drops below 10deg.

no central heating on for 2 years just have a log burner in the lounge get free wood so no heating costs
always have our windows open in bedrooms

i have shut the windows downstairs yesterday afternoon...it got a buit chilly.... but no doubt they will get open again

I am getting close to winding the stat up. The evenings and mornings are starting to get chilly now. But I am off to the South of France next week so might delay it until i get back.


I bet the missus sneaks it on while I am away. :o

must admit wa a bit chilly last night so put a couple of logs on the fire,
but imo a real fire always makes you feel warmer because you can see the flames dancing

YESSSSSSSS  i love my real fire too.... shame the heat from it doesnt sneakl out of the room and up the stairs though...it just seems to stay in the living room.... it can get quite hot in here in the winter with it going....my son comes in and strips off to his trousers  lol
