Truth behind stars shambolic live TV appearance
Friends fear Kerry Katona is spiralling out of control after a cringe-making appearance on live TV yesterday.
The troubled star seemed to be drunk as she repeatedly mumbled her words and blundered her way through an interview on ITV's This Morning.
Presenter Phillip Schofield asked: "You don't seem right... your speech is a bit slurred, are you OK?"
Kerry seemed shocked and blamed prescription drugs, replying: "I'm absolutely fine."
But the ex-drug addict, 28, was clearly in no fit state to be interviewed.
Kerry had apparently been necking Sambuca shorts backstage on ITV's Celebrity Juice the night before. And the mum-of-four turned up at This Morning with just minutes to spare.
Last night friends revealed her erratic behaviour is getting worse and she has virtually stopped going to rehab to treat her bipolar disorder.
One said: "She's boozing more and more saying how she's going to get bladdered all the time. A lot of people are concerned and we're just hoping this is a wake-up call."
Kerry's drinking is thought to have been out of control in Marbella at the weekend where she shocked onlookers with her antics at two photoshoots for OK magazine.
She turned up to one hungover, having downed champagne, shots of Martini, Red Bull and vodka, peach schnapps and Sambuca until 4am.
In an interview with the magazine, she said: "I'm p***** already and I've only had two glasses of champers. I used to be able to handle my ale but last night I was hammered - maybe it's my age."
At one stage during yesterday's shambolic This Morning appearance, she called out for husband Mark.
Her face looked bloated and her eyes darted round the studio as Fern Britton confronted the boozing.
Fern said: "A lot of people say that when you get rid of one addiction it gets replaced by another."
Kerry hit back: "Does that mean I'm an alcoholic?"
Kerry had appeared on the show to discuss her £19,000 of cosmetic surgery - a boob reduction and liposuction.
She admitted she had taken prescription drugs to help her sleep the previous night. She said sometimes her speech gets slurred in the morning.
Afterwards, Kerry apparently had a massive bust-up with the crew, screaming: "I'm not going on that f****** show ever again." And last night she blasted presenters Phillip and Fern from her home in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
She fumed: "I haven't got a booze problem.
I feel completely stitched up. I am extremely annoyed at how they made me look."
