Yes very true.. but also depends on how much business you want too... he could lower it ans still make a profit.. greed springs to mind.. but then it's the same in chippeham two garages i mile apart from same company both with different charges.. i go to the lower one xxx

Greedy? do you know how much the garage gets for every litre they sell? Less than 10p, the rest goes to the government and the supplier, so even if its 3p higher than other garages he's not going to get much more profit out of it is he?

No I've not worked in a garage, but I know people who have.

I looked at the garages I passed this evening on my ride. 96.9p was cheaped (in Devizes), 98.9p was most expensive. So the 99.9p in staverton ain't that bad.
Ride fast, take chances. Just don't blame me when you fall off.

i have just got back from asda in frome..
 their diesel is 99.9p   [app]
westburys is 105.9  ::)
granada service staation warmnister is 105.9  ::)

Petrol prices could reach £1.20 by end of year, RAC warns

Pump prices on forecourts across the country have increased by around 20p a litre since the start of 2009, adding £11 to the cost of filling up an average tank.

But if prices continue to rise at their present rate, then the average cost is likely to be around 105.5p by the end of August with another 2.3p in fuel duty added from September 1.
