Continuing all fro Debs ,Dorian is a kill Joy... I will stick my neck out on Children on need!!!!!!
Am I the only one that find the whole radio and TV evening dedicated to children in need a big turn off?
what kicked this off as topic to be castrated by all, is the fact that nobody would want to  their hand up and say I disagree rather like remembrance Sunday, which I donate to BIG TIME
I was stopped in Oxford by a police, whilst I had a meeting in Banbury, I therefore was on the Bicester village road entering  Bicester when they slowed me down, WHY.to fill their buckets with money........ intimidating or what?
I find the whole children in need stuff obscene
I give many many pounds to so many charities and don't want a pat on the back to say , "How generous you are"
every evening, there  are harrowing stories of death in drought ridden countries, animals being abused, homeless persons, disabled souls, I maybe have given more than  most to children in need, but I do not need a pat  ON THE BACK FOR DOING SO
I am lucky that I have a disposal income to give to any charity, including children I need, but to have a whole evening dedicated to this is just wrong.
what about a whole evening dedicated to dementia, those without limbs, those e without sight, those  who are homeless.
I give to so many charities but I find this Guilt Trip of children in Need, a bit of ,          If you don't give you area bad person!

right..i am leaving the country before I get lynched

I agree with Dorian. Christmas is promoted far too early these days. Fair enough if you want to do your Christmas shopping in August, that's up to you but to be bombarded with aisles full of Christmas tat when you go shopping in October or even November is a bit much. I like Christmas time but by the time it does arrive your fed up with it all. I went to a garden centre a few weeks back to buy a new pair of secateurs and found that the area where they would have been was cleared and stocked with Christmas decorations FFS..

No actually Debs I do not, and if you listen to any social media stuff people are saying pretty much the same about Christmas functions etc
i take exception to what was a joke Debs, I support and have been immersed totally in Fetes, Fayres  within westbury for years.
