This is the reason I got the town council to put a bid in for the Drs Surgery site at Leigh Park last year.  It means Persimmon cannot claim that they have had no bidders.

The S.106 Agreement at Leigh Park requires Persimmon to try marketing the surgery site for 4 years. This period will end in January 2012.  After that, Persimmon will undoubtedly try to say that they could not sell it as a surgery site if the town council does not press its claim or if Doctors do not emerge to buy it themselves.

The day nursery site and community centre are different and not in danger of being lost at this stage .... assuming a competent new body is set up soon to handle them.

We could do with a pub in Leigh Park.
Ride fast, take chances. Just don't blame me when you fall off.

I second that! The choice of pub currently is chavvy, pikey or farmer's

I've always thought it odd that so many houses would be built without a pub. Pubs can act as a hub in the same way community centers do.
What came first - The McChicken Sandwich, or the Egg McMuffin?
