Congratulations to Mike CB, I may not support UKIP or its policies, but Mike is a good egg and it is pleasing to see him not lose his deposit. Well done Mike  [app] (b)

Actually, looking at the UKIP results nationally, Mike C-M gained one of the highest votes. Well done Mike.

Yeah, I noticed that as well but It's not that surprising in a strong Tory ward.

There are plenty of Anti Euroites amongst Tory's.

Is there such a word as Euroite?

Yeh that's what Bob was on about - a pro-Euroite is a Europhile, surely?

Ive rung Mike CM and congratulated him.   I think the boy done well, in fact to achieve 5.5% of the vote is an achievement in itself and Mike  should rightly hold his head high and be bloody proud of the campaign he ran.   Well done mate  [app] [app] [app]

Sadly the road by the children's centre leading to the youth centre and Infants School is an unadopted road and the yellow lines were put in by the developer, most people know this and take advantage.   The sooner the road is adopted the better and road traffic regs can be enforced.   I understand that because the road itself is under the required width for a 2 lane carriageway then this is the sticking point.   I'm sure Russell or Pete have a far better understanding of this than I.

I think Mike must be really chuffed with his vote.Speaking generally as a Labour supporter i think Gordon Brown has made some terrible mistakes. He should have called an election 3 months after becoming leader and he would have won.I hope Cameron doesn't do a deal with Clegg,i couldn't bear to see Cameron as Prime Minister. In any event there are tough times ahead.Because of the banks the country is nearly bankrupt and the Government has to make tough decisions which will make them unpopular whoever they are.The new Prime Minister has inherited a poisoned chalice.
