Shocking- Breaking news
« on: January 07, 2013, 16:45:30 pm »
Breaking news ! Two more have come forward to say they had fingers shoved up their backsides by dead BBC TV stars !

Sooty and Sweep say the abuse went on, with the full knowledge of BBC Management for years !

He should have been arrested over showing his 'paedo' list on TV. That short silver haired twat is such a self righteous basterd!

It might well be that jokes in bad taste some find funny, that doesn't stop people repeating them, what is sad is that people knowing these jokes are in bad taste and may offend, are prepared to repeat them on a public forum.

I thought it was just funny. Did you find it funny Michael? Who would it offend? Presumably, in your opinion, those people who were allegedly abused by TV presenters. Are you their delegated guardian?

My opinion is as stated, jokes that offend, or are in bad taste have no place on a public forum, if anyone posting such jokes thinks differently then so be it.

the title of this could lead people to thinking it was in fact news worthy not in fact a sick joke.. if it had been put on the joke page then  maybe it wouldnt have offended anyone..because then the people who would have been offended probably wouldnt have looked at the joke page anyway.    i like a good joke as well as the next person does but there is a line between a joke and a sick joke especially with this very subject in the limelight in all the newspapers on a daily basis...

not a good taste joke at all...    if your not prepared to tell it to your mother then it shouldnt be on a forum ....  and i certainly wouldnt tell my mother that one.  and i wouldnt want anyone else to tell her it either ..

Hang on a minute...

Which bit is offensive?

This bit....

had fingers shoved up their backsides

This bit...

dead BBC TV stars

This bit....

Sooty and Sweep

This bit.......

the abuse went on, with the full knowledge of BBC Management for years !

Or all of it?

Or is there something hidden between the lines that I can't see. Something that it might imply perhaps?

I just want to know so that I know who might be offended if I post something similar in the future with the 'honest' intentions of trying to give people a laugh.

And Debs, I bet if you told your mother she would scold you but secretly have a good laugh afterwards.

Making light of a subject that is very painful to those involved, by using humour to belittle the persons concerned, is always going to offend.
Some of the "jokes" told relating to this matter do just that, maybe not intentionally, but none the less they do, it appears to excuse the behaviour of the accused, and to suggest that those who have been abused are exaggerating the effect that it has had on their lives.
