The 40-year-old woman is said to be suffering from head injuries and concussion that are not thought to be life threatening.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene, which is near the turning to Dursley Road, shortly after 9am.
A section of County Way is closed and motorists are being advised to avoid the area
