A lot of people that I know who voted to leave the EU based their decision partly on the fear of Turkey being allowed to join.

It's a bit ironic that the first country the government has done, or has tried to do a deal with is, Turkey !

I don't think these people had an issue with trading with Turkey, they just didn't want uncontrolled movement of people from Turkey to the UK.

If only there was a government that wasn't corrupt, we could deal with them, but they probably wouldn't deal with us.
