Nissan don't appear to be as worried now as they press ahead with £400m Qashqai plan for Sunderland. It seems the expertise of the workers was more important in the end.  Ashwani Gupta, Nissan’s chief operating officer, said the Sunderland factory “continues to set the standard for productivity and quality”. A strong endorsement of the skill and hard work of the workforce.
