Restaurant tipping law to change

Employers are to be banned from using tips and service charges to "top up" staff pay to meet the minimum wage, under government plans.

i dont mind paying a tip to a particular person "if i choose to " what i dont like is the service charge that is sometomes added without you knowing

i went to a local village pub for dinner a few weeks ago and when i got home i happened to look at my till reciept... the 2 meals added up to a certain amount but there was extra added which i assume is service charge...  i wasnt asked if i wasnt to pay or wasnt given a choice with a tick in a box..


hhhmmmm will be a bit more careful before i click ok on tghe card machine in future

i think its discusting that someones wage is made up to the minimum wages with tips >:(
