DISGUSTING BBC NEWS

I was listing to the news on BBC1 at six last night and was disgusted that the news thought,  the spice girls reunion concerts next year more relevant than the item that followed, a tribute to the 100 years since the end of the 1st world war and the millions that lost their lives... thoughtless. I have never felt the need to complain to the BBC..... but i have just done so!!

I agree but I find it a lot with Sky the same they will report on things like Trump on his USA campaign rather than people Burning Grenfell Tower on Bonfire night also with the paper review which followed it was the same nothing about Grenfell which was on the front of a few papers but all about US Midterms.

When you say relevant, was that because they mentioned the Spice Girls reunion before the tribute? That doesn't make the news more relevant, that was just the order in which they chose to broadcast it.

i suppose news items will always be more or less important, or relevant to some people and not others. for example why is the sports news always last? To me it's more relevant than the Brexit nonsense. But probably not to others who don't like sport. No doubt thousands of Spice Girl fans were delighted to hear of the reunion!

SURELY IT DOES!!
A topic such as mass murder will be given more air time and priority over a cat being saved by local fire Brigade, so yes the Spice girls reunion was felt to be more relevant than the Cessation of WW1

Actually, more relevant than the 100th Anniversary of the end of WW1.   The 100th Anniversary of anything is not news. It's very very OLD news being re-run.
