I remember years ago Leigh from the H&G telling me that It has always been legal to sell beer in 1/3 pint measures. It just so happens that publicans chose to sell it in 3/3 pint measures.  (b)  It was what people wanted.

Beer prices are on the increase generally anyway. Changing teh size of teh glass won't directly affect the price of beer, but with all these things I suspect we'll end up paying more (for new glasses etc).

I think as mainstream beer is now stronger than it was 10 years ago it might be a good thing to have smaller measures...
