Topic: Help Needed Please - Wiltshire Times comments need reporting

I need your help please.
 
Sometimes, the comments section under articles put online by Wiltshire Times gets abused by the usual trolls from Westbury and WT are notoriously slow to remove them.
 
The commets are often disgraceful and aimed at me, but just as often aimed at anyone at all that the trolls want to abuse.
 
There is usually a link to Westbury and this is bringing our town into clear disrepute.
 
The more people report the abuse, the more likely it is to be removed. I find WT are very slow if it is just me complaining.
 
Please can you help by going to the page and "reporting" the worst examples of abuse.
 
I suggest you use your own name and not the silly name of the troll that comes up when you first click the report function (I think this is a bug).

I am to blame for the BT Infinity race ad on that page!.

I haven't tried to disguise it.

It was my objection to them ignoring my e-mail but they have replied now.

i have been been reporting some of the trolls remarks... im disgusted to read a lot of them and am surprised the wilts times allows them to stay to be honest

The stuff aimed at you is mostly Dave Tilley, I have reported it several times but guessing I will have to again.

I don't really get why they haven't banned his registration. Am reporting now.

I may just post something that ensures the whole topic is closed.

I agree Russell, job done, not sure it will have any effect though.   As a Community and Family orientated publication they have a responsibility to their readers to moderate in a professional manner befitting of their publication.   Don't see much of that.

Madness, utter madness. That person has a very weird obsession with Russell. Its quite scary the fact that he/she can dedicate so much time it.

Between a few of us we have ensured that the comments will all be deleted.

I did ask two days ago for some of the messages to be removed and they ignored it.

The WT's policy on "Your Say" seems to be a little muddled & confused.  They will hastily close down a thread if it looks as if it might offend someone who has just been convicted of rape or mugging old ladies, but seem quite happy to allow all the crap going on at the moment.
